Less weight. Ship more.

I'm agnogad. I build across Rust, the web, desktop and Android, with a bias for small tools, clean CLIs, and software that does one thing well.

Most of what I make starts with the same complaint: the tool is heavier than the job.

I'm agnogad. I build software across Rust, the web, desktop and Android. I like problems I can solve with a single binary, a clean CLI, or a simple static site.

Most of my projects start with the same question: why is this heavier than the job? That's how agno began. But it's one thread. I also work on PixiAnime's desktop and Android clients, a web version of Kütüphanem, and Turkish-SkyStream. Different platforms, same instinct: keep the surface small and the behavior obvious.

I write about the process on dev.to, and post about Rust and the projects on X. Claude and OpenRouter are part of my daily workflow, next to Supabase, Cloudflare, Fly.io, Render and a Contabo VPS.

I'd rather write the tool I need than install a framework to do it.

A few things I've built across Rust, the web, desktop and Android. agno has the longest paper trail; the rest of the work is below.

agno

Static site generator v0.3.7 / MIT

The project that started with a complaint: Astro felt slow for my own blog. So I wrote a static site generator in Rust. Markdown and minijinja templates go in; plain files come out; one 4.2 MB binary, no Node, no bundler, no plugin runtime. The documentation site is built with agno itself.

Binary

Templates

Output
Plain files
cargo install agno

Measured,
not claimed.

I care about speed, but I'd rather show the receipts. These are agno's cold-build numbers from the repo's benchmark suite. The methodology and the caveats are in the docs, and they're worth reading before quoting any of this.

4.2MB

The whole binary

Runtime included. No Node, no bundler, no plugin process.

106ms

Cold build

For 1,000 plain posts, on the reference machine.

7,642/s

Sustained pages

At 10,000 posts. The corpus shape matters.

185×

Against Astro

Top of the 16.7–185× range. Hugo tops out at 12.8×.

Source: agno benchmark docs and the dev.to write-up, tested up to 10,000 posts. Filesystem, CPU and corpus shape move the result.

The kit.

Tools I reach for, not a logo wall. If it can be one binary, I'd prefer it were.
